The course runs over 6 consecutive days and is divided into 4 units and covers everything from the legal aspects of working in security to the latest physical intervention techniques. NEW SIA Course Update (April 2021) From April 1st this course will become a 6 day course instead of a 4 day course. In addition, you must have a first aid qualification before you can take the training. This should be an Emergency First Aid at work certificate or higher.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to obtain the SIA Licence and work in frontline security roles.

You can work as a Security Guard with a Door Supervisor Licence. In fact, the Door Supervisor Licence is one of the most versatile licences in the security industry. It's important to remember that if you instead take the Security Guard Course, for example, you can't apply for a Door Supervisor badge.
This makes the Door Supervisor Course more valuable when applying for jobs, and will make you more eligible for more work much faster.

We recommend using Swindon Train Station, which is nearer to the venue. Once you are on Station Road, walk for about 6 minutes to Catherine Street, take Bus 31, get off after eight stops at the M4 Roundabout, and then walk the remaining 0.4 miles to the venue. You can also take a taxi which will take you about 10 minutes.
From Chippenham, Melksham or Kemble train stations it’s best to continue on to the main Swindon train station.
Parking
There is onsite parking at the training venue if you plan to drive to the venue. However, if you wish to explore Swindon Town Centre, there are plenty of parking spots available. Here are some options available:
