The course runs over 6 consecutive days and is divided into 4 units and covers everything from the legal aspects of working in security to the latest physical intervention techniques. NEW SIA Course Update (April 2021) From April 1st this course will become a 6 day course instead of a 4 day course. In addition, you must have a first aid qualification before you can take the training. This should be an Emergency First Aid at work certificate or higher.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to obtain the SIA Licence and work in frontline security roles.

Certificates are available via email within a week of completing the course. You may request a posted certificate at an additional cost of £14.99.
You can work as a Security Guard with a Door Supervisor Licence. In fact, the Door Supervisor Licence is one of the most versatile licences in the security industry. It's important to remember that if you instead take the Security Guard Course, for example, you can't apply for a Door Supervisor badge.
This makes the Door Supervisor Course more valuable when applying for jobs, and will make you more eligible for more work much faster.

Getting around by walking is very easy, because Highland House is in a well-connected part of Wimbledon. With the train station so close, there are always shops and places to eat just 5 or 10 minutes' walk away.

With all of Wimbledon on your doorstep, there are lots of good hotels to try if you need to stay in town for your course. However, the closest to the venue is the 3-star Antoinette Hotel Wimbledon, just a little further down The Broadway from your training venue at Highland House.

While you’re training to be a Door Supervisor in Wimbledon, you'll find a good meal easy to find. With the train station so close, you've got easy access to chains like Nando's, Taco Bell and Pret.
