The course runs over 6 consecutive days and is divided into 4 units and covers everything from the legal aspects of working in security to the latest physical intervention techniques. NEW SIA Course Update (April 2021) From April 1st this course will become a 6 day course instead of a 4 day course. In addition, you must have a first aid qualification before you can take the training. This should be an Emergency First Aid at work certificate or higher.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to obtain the SIA Licence and work in frontline security roles.

You can work as a Security Guard with a Door Supervisor Licence. In fact, the Door Supervisor Licence is one of the most versatile licences in the security industry. It's important to remember that if you instead take the Security Guard Course, for example, you can't apply for a Door Supervisor badge.
This makes the Door Supervisor Course more valuable when applying for jobs, and will make you more eligible for more work much faster.

Getting To Your Training In London-Enfield
Train
There are several trains you can travel with to London-Enfield. We recommend using Alexandra Palace train station because it's close to the venue and offers flexible train times.

From there, getting to the course on foot is easy, so you don't need to take a bus. Exit the station by heading north on Station Road and turn right onto St Michael's Terrace. Then make a right onto New River Path, another right onto Commerce Road, and yet another right onto Earlham Grove. The route is about 1.1 km and should take you only 12 minutes.
Parking
If you're going to drive to your course, you should note that Cypriot Community Centre doesn't offer onsite parking. Instead, you'll have to find a nearby car park, and you can expect a fee of around £4 per two hours.

Getting food while you're attending your training is easy, with tons of great nearby restaurants available. The Purple Café & Restaurant, for instance, is only a 2 minute walk away via High Road and offers fantastic delivery and takeaway options. Another café that's equally great and conveniently close to the venue is Bowes Café & Bistro. It has an extensive menu, so you'll find café staples like sandwiches, omelettes, chips, and salads. You can get there by walking for 10 minutes through High Road and Myddelton Road.
If you want to further explore the food varieties in London-Enfield, Bello, Westbury, and Broomfield would be great cafes to start. Apart from their cosy and casual atmosphere, you'll also find their prices low and food delicious.
